General Company Configuration

Introduction

MPindustries allows you to customize and adapt the platform to the specific needs of the organization. This improves operational efficiency by ensuring that the system is aligned with business processes and requirements, facilitates integration with other systems and technologies, and ensures a consistent and optimized user experience. In addition, it allows centralized control of configurations, reducing errors and ensuring consistency in asset and maintenance management.

In this article, you'll learn how to set up the basic information for your company on the platform.

By default, the platform is displayed in English after registration. Therefore, one of the first tasks we recommend is changing the language. This is important because all users you add will have the same settings.

NOTE: This configuration can be modified as many times as needed. It's also important to mention that all users created after the configuration will have the same information. However, each user can access their profile and customize it according to their needs.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Access Settings:

    • Click on your "Avatar" located in the upper right corner with the initial of the account owner's name. In this example, we'll identify it as "T".
  2. Select Settings:

    • A dropdown list will appear with the following options:

      • Subscription: Allows you to view and modify general information about your company, including details about your membership and subscription plan.

      • My Profile: Provides access to view and update your personal profile information, such as your name, contact details, and personal preferences.

      • Settings: Lets you view and modify the overall settings and configurations for your company, including organizational details, user roles, and permissions.

      • Logout: Logs you out of the mpindustries platform, ending your current session. 

    • To begin configuring your company's information, click on "Settings".

  3. Navigate to Settings Module:

    1. In the "Settings" module, you'll see a new screen. On the left side, there is a list of all customizable modules. On the right side, you'll find a general overview and at the top, the "Edit" button.

  4. Edit Company Information:

    1. Click on "Edit" to start personalizing your company's details.

  5. Enter Basic Information:

    • Enter the basic information about your company, including the official name, the physical address of your headquarters, the unique tax identification number used for tax purposes, and the country where your company is based. For multinational companies, this information should pertain to the headquarters.
  6. Complete Regional Configuration:

    • Next, complete the regional configuration, including: Currency, Time Zone, Language, and Tax Identification Name. The "Tax Identification Name" varies by country. For example, in Mexico, it's referred to as the RFC, while in other countries it may be called RUT.

  7. Save Changes:

    • Once you've completed the information, click "Save" to apply the changes.
